12 Step Support Group
A meeting on Wednesdays from 7-8 PM to work on issues of addiction.
A program on Monday nights 7-8:30 PM to help people understand and improve their ability to manage their financial areas.
A life skills program on Tuesdays from 4:30-6 PM for children 11-13.
Inner City Outing
Collaboration with the Sierra Club to provide 5-6 outings in nature per year plus a summer end trip for the teens of the S.A.L.T. program. Children’s outings include things like canoeing, hiking, camping, stream clean-up, etc.
Savings program to match clients saved money with a double or triple match for home buying, education, or small business start-up.
A ten-week intensive summer program of experiential learning around business set-up for teens age 14 and up.
Connecting folks up with available resources to help them when in crisis situations.
Three washers and dryers offered to the community for fifty cents a load.

Clancy Street Ministries has licensed staff to help bring people closer to their goals. MSHDA LINKS to Home-ownership counseling is available for those moving towards home ownership and annual Income Tax preparation is provided free.
Kent County Tax Credit Coalition (KCTCC)
Each year, state and federal income tax returns provide incredible relief for low income families. The Kent County Tax Credit Coalition (KCTCC) mobilizes hundreds of volunteers to assist with tax preparation and maximize the use of the Earned Income Tax Credit.
MSHDA’s Links to Home-Ownership
The LINKS to Home ownership Program is offered through the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) to support programs that increase home ownership opportunities for low to moderate-income families in Michigan.
What is LINKS to Home-ownership?
LINKS to Home ownership is a home purchase counseling program funded by MSHDA. The program was designed to ensure successful home-ownership by screening candidates for purchase potential, providing pre-purchase counseling and down payment assistance, up to $7,500. It also provides credit repair to qualify for a MSHDA mortgage, home maintenance training, and pre-purchase home inspections.
How Do I Apply?
The Michigan Home-ownership Counseling Network is the entry point for all LINKS to Home-ownership activities. You can apply with one of our certified Network Counselors, which is made up of non-profit agencies, MSU Extension agents, Community Action Agencies, and local units of government To apply for LINKS to Home-ownership , contact a Network Counselor in your county.
